NEW $10-MILLION
MURFREESBORO, TENNESSEE HAMPTON INN & SUITES NOW OPEN TO
GUESTS
MURFREESBORO, TENN. – The
new Hampton Inn & Suites located at 325 North Thompson Lane
is now officially open and serving guests.
The
$10-million,
four-story hotel
is Hampton’s latest prototype design and features
101
deluxe guest rooms, 28 of which are executive studio suites.
A forty-year
veteran of the hotel industry, Hospitality Investment
Services, LLC, of Memphis, Tenn., has developed the new
property for the ownership group, Host Murfreesboro, LLC,
which is made up of
investors from Memphis, Destin, Fla., and Asheville, N.C.
“We saw a need
to build what we believe will be the premiere select-service
hotel in the area,” says Bryan Nearn, managing partner of
Host Murfreesboro, LLC. “Murfreesboro is one of the fastest
developing markets in the country, with phenomenal growth in
the business, university, retail and tourism sectors, which
will only be aided by the recent completion of I-840 from
Franklin to Lebanon and the soon-to-be-completed
Murfreesboro conference center.”
The brick-and-EIFS-veneer
building was designed by architects Bounds & Gillespie of
Memphis, Tenn., and constructed by Montgomery Martin
Contractors, LLC of Memphis, Tenn. Ann Snell, head designer
with Ann Stewart Company, and Jerry Corder with Hospitality
Contract Services (both also from Memphis, Tenn.,) supplied
the furniture, fixtures and equipment for the whole hotel,
while Clint Hester with SouthBranch Nursery, Inc., located
in Murfreesboro, Tenn., furnished all the landscaping.
The “official” opening
will occur on the morning of June 7. A ribbon-cutting
celebration is scheduled for the morning of June 14, with
local dignitaries present, including Mayor Tommy Bragg who
will ceremoniously cut the ribbon. Owners will award door
prizes for stays at hotels around the country and gift
certificates to local restaurants. In appreciation to the
Murfreesboro community, the Hampton Inn & Suites will make a
generous donation to a local Murfreesboro charity,
Special Kids. An invitation-only grand opening
celebration will be held the evening of June 14.
The Hampton Inn & Suites
is the first hotel in Murfreesboro to offer High-Definition
televisions in all guest rooms. In addition, the
pet-friendly hotel features a hot breakfast, high-speed
internet service, and state-of-the-art meeting rooms
adjacent to the patio, heated swimming pool, and
professionally landscaped gardens, ideal for meetings and
receptions. The executive studio
suites include
wet bars, microwaves and refrigerators, as well as cozy
seating areas.
“Our new hotel is
absolutely fabulous!” says General Manager Sandra Miller.
“The eclectic decor and surroundings are very elegant.
Guests can expect to have a clean, comfortable room, great
breakfast experience, and energetic and helpful staff.”
Miller has been employed
by MountainTop Management for more than six years as the
general manager of the Baymont Inn & Suites on Armory Drive,
formerly the Hampton Inn. The inn on Armory Drive became a
part of the Baymont franchise system on March 1 to prepare
for today’s opening of the new Hampton Inn & Suites.
MountainTop Management
will operate the new Hampton Inn & Suites and will continue
to operate the Baymont Inn & Suites. Tim Rice, president of
MountainTop Management, is optimistic about the future of
both hotels: “We’ve always been the market leader in
Murfreesboro, through the use of yield and revenue
management, and an aggressive and innovative sales and
marketing plan. We expect that success will continue and
even improve with this new product on the market.”
Gary Koester, who served
as lead developer for Hospitality Investment Services, LLC,
adds: “Working with quality architects, contractors,
designers and vendors, as well as knowledgeable hotel staff,
has made the overall development of the project a real
pleasure. It has been rewarding to observe the project take
shape from groundbreaking just one year ago to completion,
with the initial scope being ‘on time and on budget.’”
MountainTop Management,
based out of Memphis, is listed as one of the “Top 100”
hotel management companies in the country, according to
Hotel Management magazine. In addition to managing the
Baymont Inn & Suites and the Hampton Inn & Suites in
Murfreesboro, MountainTop Management also manages the
Hampton Inn & Suites in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the Holiday Inn
East – Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville, N.C., and the Best
Western – Downtown Charleston, S.C.
The principals of Hospitality Investment Services, LLC,
parent company of MountainTop Management, LLC, are Bryan
Nearn, CEO, and Gary Koester, CFO, both of Memphis, and Tim
Rice, President and COO, of Asheville, NC. The home office
is located at 5341 Estate Office Drive, Suite # 3, Memphis,
